Our work has always been about giving wild horses an opportunity and a voice. Over the past 15 years, we've been privileged to rescue, rehabilitate, train, and re-home more than 1,000 mustangs. While every successful adoption has been a celebration, we've come to realize that our greatest responsibility lies with the horses who will never leave our care. They depend on us not just for today, but for a lifetime.

What began in 2011 with a small sanctuary herd of 5, has now grown into the herd we care for today, as more mustangs in need found their way to Great Escape. Every horse arrived with a unique story, and every one inspired the same promise: that they would always have a safe place to call home.

The Great Escape Legacy Project is our commitment to keeping that promise. Through thoughtful stewardship, partnerships, and now a dedicated Legacy Fund, we're creating a sustainable future that ensures every horse continues to receive the life we've promised them: the freedom to live wild, unencumbered by the domestic constraints placed upon them the day they were gathered from their home range, while receiving exceptional lifelong care in the sanctuary they call home.
